| Published June 30, 2024 Buenos dias!! Dear Friends and Forest Dpc family I would like to thank you all for your prayers and moral support during the recent medical mission I was on Honduras. This mission was especially amazing for me because I went with my daughter Miki it was a pre-made student and EMT. So I would like to share with you the incredible journey our team recently undertook to Tela Honduras, where Medical Outreach Organization (MMO) facilitated a transformative mission. Honduras, home to over 10 million people, welcomed us with open arms as we embarked on a week-long series of mobile clinics across various communities. Mission Details At the heart of our mission was the commitment to provide essential medical care and support to those in need. Partnering with MMO, we assembled a dedicated team including doctors, physiotherapists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, translators, and soul care counselors. Together, we set up several clinics throughout the region, reaching a total of 1235 patients. Community Impact Our base of operations was graciously provided by Iglesia Bautista in Tela, who opened their doors to us and allowed us to use their facilities for our clinics. This partnership was instrumental in enabling us to reach children, elderly individuals, and families with chronic and acute conditions. Thanks to your prayers and support, we were able to offer free medical consultations, medications like Albendazole to combat parasites, and Vitamin A to prevent blindness, all at no cost to the patients. Spiritual Enrichment Beyond medical care, we were privileged to offer spiritual support, praying with patients and sharing messages of hope rooted in 1 Corinthians 15:57: “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” This holistic approach to healthcare truly embodies our mission of healing both body and spirit. Gratitude Your heartfelt support and prayers paved the way for success, touching many lives and leaving a lasting impact on the communities we served. As I reflect on this enriching experience, I am filled with gratitude to God for the privilege of serving and the truly excellent high quality team with which I was able to serve.
